An employee-owned Ontario engineering practice.
Tatham Engineering Limited has provided consulting engineering services to Ontario municipalities, institutions and private sector clients continuously since 1988.
Founded in 1988. Owned by the people who do the work.
The firm was established to provide municipal engineering services to communities in Simcoe County and the surrounding region. Over the following three and a half decades the practice expanded both geographically and technically, adding offices in Barrie, Bracebridge, Orillia, Guelph and Ottawa, and building specialist capability in building engineering, hydrogeology, coastal engineering, acoustics and decarbonization.
Tatham Engineering is 100% employee-owned. Ownership is held by the professionals who deliver the work, which keeps decision-making close to our projects and aligns the long-term interests of the firm with those of our clients.
Today more than 180 staff practise from six Ontario offices, supported by common design standards, quality assurance procedures and project management systems across all locations.

Directors, officers and discipline managers
Each technical discipline is led by a manager accountable for quality, resourcing and professional standards within that practice.

Staff at a community environmental initiative.
Practising in the communities where we live.
Our offices are located in the municipalities we serve. Staff participate in local conservation initiatives, sit on community boards and support regional charitable organizations, and the firm contributes annually to community programs across our service area.
This proximity has a practical benefit as well: our project managers understand local approval processes, standards and site conditions because they work within them continuously.
