Thirteen disciplines organized into five practice areas.

Assignments are staffed from a single firm, which allows design, approvals, field survey and construction administration to be coordinated by one project manager from start to completion.

Practice Area 01

Infrastructure

Planning, design and contract administration for municipal infrastructure — from structural rehabilitation of bridges and culverts to full corridor reconstruction and water servicing.

Bridges

Biennial OSIM inspections, condition assessments, rehabilitation design and replacement of bridges, culverts and retaining structures.

Municipal

Road and servicing renewal, asset management support, and capital program delivery for municipalities of every size.

Transportation

Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, corridor and intersection studies, traffic analysis and roadway design.

Water & Wastewater

Treatment, storage, pumping and conveyance systems carried from feasibility study through commissioning.

Practice Area 02

Building Engineering Services

Integrated electrical, mechanical and structural engineering for institutional, municipal and commercial buildings, supported by specialist practices in acoustics, air quality and decarbonization.

Electrical

Power distribution, lighting design, standby generation and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Mechanical

HVAC, plumbing and process mechanical design for facility upgrades, additions and new construction.

Structural

New structures, additions, renovations, restoration and condition assessment of buildings and special structures.

Air & Noise

Air quality and acoustic assessments prepared to support approvals, permits and regulatory compliance.

Decarbonization & Net Zero

Greenhouse gas inventories, energy audits, conservation planning and net-zero pathway studies.

Practice Area 03

Water & Environment

Science-based engineering along the shoreline and below the ground surface, protecting water resources while enabling responsible development.

Coastal

Shoreline protection, waterfront structures, erosion control and naturalized eco-shoreline design.

Hydrogeology & Geoenvironmental

Groundwater supply investigations, environmental site assessments, permitting and monitoring programs.

Water Resources

Stormwater management design, hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, floodplain mapping and low-impact development.

Practice Area 04

Community Development

Full-service land development engineering that advances residential, commercial and institutional projects from concept plan through registration and servicing.

Revitalized downtown streetscape with new sidewalks and planters

Land Development

Site servicing, grading, functional servicing reports and approvals coordination for subdivisions and site plans.

Practice Area 05

Field Services

Field capability that connects design intent to constructed reality, from initial topographic survey through final inspection and substantial performance.

Construction

Contract administration, site inspection, quantity verification and progress certification throughout construction.

Geomatics

Topographic and legal surveys, UAV mapping, digital terrain modelling and construction layout.

Project Delivery

How assignments are managed

Defined scope and deliverables

Every assignment begins with a written scope, schedule and fee structure, together with a nominated project manager who remains the point of contact for the duration of the work.

Quality assurance and review

Design deliverables are subject to internal checking and senior review before issue. Drawings and reports are sealed by the responsible professional engineer or geoscientist.

Approvals and stakeholder coordination

We prepare and administer submissions to municipalities, conservation authorities and provincial ministries, and represent our clients through the review process.

Construction administration

Our field staff provide contract administration, inspection and quantity verification, closing the loop between the design intent and the constructed work.
